We all miss our favourite dishes, specially those yummy desserts from our favourite restaurants during this pandemic.
Here’s a very easy recipe for choco-vanilla marble cake that will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth !!
Ingredients
4 Egg whites
4 Egg Yolks
1 cup Castor sugar
1 cup All- purpose flour
1 cup Butter (salted)
1 tbsp Cocoa powder (unsweetened)
A pinch of instant coffee powder
2 tsp Baking powder
1/4 cup Water
1 tsp Vanilla essence
1/2 cup Chocolate Chips (optional)
Method
Preheat the oven to 170C.
Beat butter and sugar into a smooth paste then add egg yolks, baking powder, vanilla essence and water, beat all these ingredients. Then gradually add All- purpose flour, whisk the egg whites. Add the instant coffee powder into the mixture. Using a spatula, fold into the batter. Divide the batter into two equals.
Add cocoa powder into one of the batters. Add chocolate chips (optional)
Grease your pans with oil/butter and Spoon alternating layers into the pan. For the swirl, run a knife through the batter 3 or 4 times, lengthwise.
Bake for at least 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes.
