6 Facial Exercises For A Slimmer and Younger Face

Facial exercises help in weight loss, anti-aging as well as blood circulation. Here are 6 facial exercises you can do at home!

The Eye Firmer

Good For: Drooping eyelids, crow’s feet, eye bags and puffiness.
Alternative To: Botox and eye surgery.
Steps: Form a “V” with your fingers by pressing both middle fingers together at the inner corner of the eyebrows, then with the index fingers, apply pressure to the outer corners of the eyebrows.
Look to the ceiling, and raise the lower eyelids upwards to make a squint.
Relax and repeat six more times.
Finish by squeezing eyes shut tightly for 10 seconds.

The Smile Smoother

Good For: Cheek lines and sagging skin.
Alternative To: Lower face lift and fillers.
Steps: Hide the teeth with the lips to make an ‘O’ shape with the mouth.
Smile widely while keeping the teeth hidden and repeat six times.
Next, hold the smile shape while placing one index finger on the chin. Then start to move the jaw up and down as the head tilts gently back.
Relax and repeat twice more.

The flirty eyes

Good For: Deep eye hollows and drooping eye brows.
Alternative To: Eyebrow lift.
Steps: Place an index finger under each eye, pointing towards the nose.
Hide the teeth and tease the top lip and bottom lip away from each other at the mouth.
Flutter the upper eyelids while looking at the ceiling for 30 seconds.

Forehead Smoother

Good For: Smoothing forehead lines and preventing wrinkles
Alternative To: Botox
Steps: Make two fists and place them on your forehead.
Apply pressure using your middle and index finger knuckles.
Maintain pressure as you slowly slide your fists to either side.
End at your temples, gently applying more pressure.
Repeat four times.

The Giraffe Neck

Good For: Firming up décolletage area and smoothing out jawline
Alternative To: Neck lift and jowl lift.
Steps: Look  straight ahead, place the finger tips above your collar bones and lightly stroke the skin downwards with the head tilted back and lips puckered.
Jut out the lower lip out as far as possible to pull the corners of the mouth down and place finger tips on the collarbone with the chin pointed upwards.
Bring your head back to the chest and repeat two more times.
Hold for four deep breaths.

Jaw Stretch

Good For: Firming up double chin and trimming excess fat in the jaw
Alternative To: Neck tightening and jaw fillers
Steps: Pucker your lips to one side until you feel a stretch in your cheek.
Turn your head to that side and lift up at a 45 degrees angle.
Hold for 3 seconds to feel the stretch in your neck.
Repeat once, and then switch to the other side.
