5 Natural Remedies to Grow Eyebrows and Eyelashes at Home

Have you been avoiding plucking and trying to grow out your eyebrows, but are still struggling to grow your eyebrows and eyelashes. Here are 5 natural remedies you can try at home for thicker eyebrows and longer eyelashes.

Castor Oil

Castor Oil is enriched with proteins, fatty acids, antioxidants and vitamins, which help in nourishing your hair follicles and promoting hair growth.
With a cotton swab or clean mascara brush lightly apply a few drops of castor oil onto your eyebrows and eyelashes. Massage with your fingertips for a few minutes. Keep it on overnight. Rinse your face with warm water in the morning. Use this a few times a week.

Onion Juice

Onion juice contains sulfur, selenium, minerals, B vitamins and C vitamins, which aid faster and denser hair growth by strengthening the hair follicles and improving the production of collagen tissues required for proper hair growth. 
Chop the onion into pieces and blend to make a paste. Strain this paste to get the juice. Using a cotton swab to apply the juice on your eyebrows and eyelashes. Keep it on for an hour. Wipe off with a cotton ball soaked in diluted lemon juice, to get rid of the pungent smell of onion juice. Apply this on every alternate day.

Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe Vera promotes hair growth and rejuvenates hair by enriching it with nutrients, giving it more elasticity and preventing breakage. 
Scoop out the aloe vera gel from the leaf with a spoon. Use a cotton swab to apply aloe vera gel onto your eyebrows and eyelashes. Massage with your fingertips for a few minutes till it gets absorbed. Use this a few times a day.

Fenugreek Seeds

Also known as methi seeds, fenugreek seeds rebuild hair follicles, which stimulates hair growth. Fenugreek seeds also make your hair look shiny by retaining their natural colour.
Soak the fenugreek seeds in water overnight. In the morning, grind the seeds into a fine paste and apply to your eyebrows and eyelashes with a cotton swab. Keep it on for 30-45 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Use this twice a week.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is great for improving blood circulation. Coconut oil has fatty acids that prevent hair from breaking and lauric acid that has antimicrobial properties, which prevents infection of hair follicles.
With a cotton swab or clean mascara brush lightly apply a few drops of coconut oil onto your eyebrows and eyelashes. Dip a cotton swab in the oil and apply on your eyebrows. Keep it on overnight. Rinse your face with warm water in the morning. For best results add 2-4 drops lavender essential oil. Use this a few times a week.
