5 Movies to ‘Chill With’ This September

Netflix is adding a lot of new movies and originals this fall, given that the summer was quiet for Netflix due to all the mayhem around.

There are several returning movies, originals and TV series making their way at the platform this month. From the return of ‘Magic Mike’ to ‘Back to The Future’, here is a compilation of 5 best movies and TV series to chill with, this month.

I’m Thinking of Ending Things, September 4th
Genre: Psychological Thriller; Horror Fiction
I’m Thinking of Ending Things is the 2016 debut novel of Canadian writer Iain Reid. It was first published in June 2016 in the United States by Simon & Schuster. The book has been described as a psychological thriller and horror fiction.
Netflix released a film adaptation of the book, I’m Thinking of Ending Things, written and directed by Charlie Kaufman and starring Jesse Plemons, Jessie Buckley, Toni Collette, and David Thewlis.
“Nothing is at it seems when a woman experiences misgiving about her new boyfriend joins him on a road trip to meet his parents at their remote farm.”

Away (TV Series), September 4th
Genre: Science Fiction
Away is an American science fiction drama web television series, starring Hilary Swank and created by Andrew Hinderaker.
“It follows Emma Green, an American astronaut who leaves her husband and teenage daughter behind in order to command an international space crew embarking upon a treacherous, three year-long mission. It is a series about hope, humanity and how ultimately, we need one another if we are to achieve impossible things.”

The Devil All the Time, September 16th
Genre: Psychological Thriller
The Devil All the Time is an upcoming American psychological thriller film based on the novel of the same name by Donald Ray Pollock. Directed and co-written by Antonio Campos and produced by Jake Gyllenhaal and Randall Poster, the film stars an ensemble cast comprising Tom Holland, Bill Skarsgård, Riley Keough, Jason Clarke, Sebastian Stan, Haley Bennett, Eliza Scanlen, Mia Wasikowska and Robert Pattinson.
“In Knockemstiff, Ohio and its neighbouring backwoods, sinister characters — an unholy preacher (Robert Pattinson), twisted couple (Jason Clarke and Riley Keough), and crooked sheriff (Sebastian Stan) — converge around young Arvin Russell (Tom Holland) as he fights the evil forces that threaten him and his family.”

Ratched (TV Series), September 18th
Genre: Psychological Horror
Ratched is an American psychological horror drama web television series, based on the 1962 novel One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey. The series was created by Evan Romansky and is set to star Sarah Paulson as Nurse Ratched.

In 1947, Mildred arrived in Northern California to seek employment at a leading psychiatric hospital where new and unsettling experiments have begun on the human mind. Enola Holmes, September 23rd
Genre: Mystery
Enola Holmes is an upcoming mystery film based on the book series of the same name by Nancy Springer. The film, which centres upon the teenage sister of an already-famous Sherlock Holmes, is directed by Harry Bradbeer and written by Jack Thorne. Millie Bobby Brown stars as the title character, while also serving as a producer on the film. Henry Cavill, Sam Claflin, Adeel Akhtar, Fiona Shaw, Frances de la Tour, Louis Partridge, Susie Wokoma and Helena Bonham Carter appear in supporting roles.
“When Enola Holmes — Sherlock’s teen sister — discovers her mother missing, she sets off to find her, becoming a super-sleuth in her own right as she outwits her famous brother and unravels a dangerous conspiracy around a mysterious young Lord.”
