5 Meditation Techniques for a calmer state of mind

Meditation is a feasible way to clear out your headspace. It is like a disconnection from the troubled atmosphere. Experienced meditators say that daily meditations have cogent effects both physically and mentally.

Your mind is like a knitting ball with a lot of threads coming out of it. At some point, these threads tend to tangle and create stress in the head. Meditational practices untangle those threads and bust stress.
The convenience of the practice to the minimum of five minutes and no fancy equipment involved has increased its popularity. Meditation has been subjected to a lot of types and ways.

Basic Meditation

The easiest and most common meditation is the basic meditation. Just a simple practice and tracking of exhaling and inhaling. Ensure that you are in your comfortable most condition while gently noticing the inhale and exhale pattern. Basic meditation may make two minutes look like an eternity but one thing you need to do is focus on the present and clear your mind.

Activity-Oriented Meditation

Meditation is all about tranquility. If a particular activity brings you the crux of calmness then it can be used in meditation. Repeating a particular activity to kick start the unravelling of your nerves can help a lot. Most people prefer walking, painting or even dancing sometimes as an activity-oriented mediation.

Mindfulness Meditation

As the name suggests mindfulness meditation is noticing the trails and thoughts trapped in your mind subconsciously. It is not about getting involved in these thoughts but to judge them in a realistic way to shun them. It involves no controlled breathing but the movement of the body as you breathe in and out.

Spiritual meditation

Spiritual meditation is not confined to one religion but to one question. You can pick out one question that crosses your mind and think about it. Narrow down all the logical reasons and your religious strings attached to it. It can be a meditation searching for the answers to the questions you already have in mind. It is like the inner soul searching which is relieving.

Focused and Visual Meditation

Sometimes focused vision on an object, scenery or picture without having any background thoughts to it is helpful. This zero focused mediation can be subjected to something visual or auditory like the calm voice of the ocean. This is helpful for some because following on something rather than nothing is better. It is like slipping out of your troubled thoughts to something else for some time.
