The Dilruba actor made the revelation in a live chat session with singer Aima Baig
After being widely speculated of dating singer and youth heartthrob Asim Azhar, actor Hania Aamir has finally confirmed that she is not in a relationship with anyone and is only friends with the singer.
The Janaan starlet was speaking to bestfriend and singer Aima Baig in a live session last night where the two were engaged in a light-hearted conversation about life and career. A clip from the very same video is now going viral all over social media where the actor can be seen responding to a question regarding her relationship status.
Answering the question, Hania said, “He’s asking if we’re still together. We’re friends, we’re not together, we’re not dating, we’re not a couple. But we are best friends.”
The statement not only has surprised fans of the two but also Aima who responded, “ye toumujhebhinahipatatha (even I didn’t know about this).”
However, Hania ensured that she’s not making it up and continued to reiterate her previous statement this time in a more serious tone. “No nolisten, actually, we’re great friends. We’re there for each other and I even played a part in his video,” she added.
Earlier this month, Hania had made a special appearance in AsimAzhar’s latest video ‘Tum Tum’ which has become a huge hit while also stirring a bit of a controversy.
While talking more about how the two intend on working together on the professional front, Hania said, “And I’m going to make him help me with a song that I’m doing. He’s going to be there for that and I hope I can make him do it.”
Ending the conversation, Hania said that currently her only boyfriend is her work and herself. “But as far as relationships and ‘are you together?’ is concerned, I’m not with anyone.”
Meanwhile, a little over an year ago, Asim when answering a question about his relationship status with Hania in an interview with the BBC Asian Network had said, “ I feel like she’s the kind of person who brings a lot of positivity in my life, It’s so much fun being around her. We’re always laughing. It’s nice to have someone be genuinely supportive towards whatever you do.”
“You see my heart beating very fast.I don’t think I’m in a position to answer that causally or frankly,” he added on being furthered asked about his relationship. “Any comment, whether yes or no I would want her consent. I don’t want to say something on my own then have the other person say, ‘I’m also involved in this equation, whatever question was asked’.
