Five sequels that proved sometimes the original is best left alone

It’s important to keep in mind no one plans to make a bad movie sequel especially after the original part has been a success. But somewhere along the way, whether it’s during pre, production or post-production something just doesn’t add up. Here are five movies that prove sometimes it’s best to leave the original alone.

Grease 2

The original 1978 Grease starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton- John is one of the most beloved musicals ever made so it’s completely understandable why a sequel was made. However, the characters didn’t do much in the sequel even though songs are the primary reason for watching the sequel, but none of them come close to the classics in the first movie.

Titanic 2

It may not be an official sequel but it definitely does sound like one and that made the fans extremely curious, only to discover that the film is actually more disastrous than the iceberg incident in the original Titanic.

Highlander

The original Highlander was a hit with a star cast of Roxanne Hart, Sean Connery and Christopher Lambert. The first film sequel is widely regarded as one of the worst movies ever made. And the third sequel was criticized as well so we hope they learn from their mistakes.

Transformers: The Last Knight

Though this movie has stars like Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci, it turned out to be one of the worst sequels with reviews like; Transformers: The Last Knight’ is irredeemable garbage that gives summertime blockbuster fare a bad name, an insufferable slog through terrible decisions, dreadful execution, and the flagrant pilfering of more money than most people will ever see in a lifetime”

Zoolander 2

Seems like Ben Stiller finally got tired of fans asking him if there would be another “Zoolander” and 15 years later Zoolander 2 was released, fans definitely did get their answer but it wasn’t appreciated and was more like a mistake.
