This year wasn’t like the usual years as the whole world was under a lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic and has been a year of absolute firsts for so many, with devastating losses for millions of people but also positive experiences for others including growth.
Covid-19 vaccine
This has got to be the first thing on our list for the rest of them to occur. Making a collective prayer for the vaccine to be available for the masses soon.
Euro Cup
UEFA Euro Cup was postponed but is now scheduled to take place the next Summer, from 11 June – 11 July 2021. The Stadio Olimpico in Rome will host the opening game that all football fans are waiting for.
Money Heist 5
The Netflix crime thriller will finally reach its conclusion next year as the series will be returning for a fifth and the final season set to release some point in 2021.
T20 World Cup
The T20 World Cup which was scheduled for 2021 will take place as planned in India, while Australia will stage another tournament in 2022 which got cancelled in 2020.
Kissing Booth 3
It will officially hit Netflix in 2021. Joey King revealed that the move had already been shot during a Youtube Live stream event for the second movie with the cast.
Wimbledon
The event got cancelled for the first time since World War II due to Covid-19. However, the 134th Wimbledon championship will take place from 28th June till 11th July 2021.
Joe Biden’s Presidency
US president-elect Joe Biden and VP-elect Kamala Harris will be sworn in on Wednesday January 20 2021. The inauguration will take place, on the west front of the US Capital in Washington, DC.
Fashion season
With all major fashion events around the world getting cancelled or held on a digital venue, the return of full-scale physical fashion shows and the Met Gala is something we are all looking forward to.
Friends Reunion
The year 2021 could be The One With the Friends Reunion Special. Matthew Perry tweeted that the HBO Max special, which has been delayed for months due to the coronavirus pandemic, is set to film in March.
Matrix 4
The Matrix 4 was first scheduled for release on May 21, 2021 in the UK and US but Warner Bros has moved the movie’s release forward to December 22 2021, which will put it in competition with Spiderman 3.
