Have you heard of the show where criminals, dressed in red jumpsuits wearing Salvador Dali masks, rob a bank? The underrated Netflix show “Money Heist” is only beginning to gain popularity now. But why? The show Money Heist consists of four seasons so far, in which two robberies have occurred, one at the Royal Mint of Spain, and the second at the Bank of Spain. But these aren’t just any robberies, these are robberies that have been planned for almost a year, robberies that criminals have trained months for, and robberies in which people from around the world were involved.
You know those shows that make you heart skip a beat. The shows that you just can’t stop watching, you just keep playing one episode after another because your addicted. The shows that have you at the edge of your seat, dying to know what happens next. This is it. This is one of those shows. After binge watching Money Heist, I can safely say that this show deserves much more recognition than what it is getting. This is the perfect entertainment for being stuck in quarantine with nothing to do. Just last week I forced my mother to start Money Heist, and before I knew it, 4 days later she had finished the entire four seasons.
But what’s a good show without a set of good-looking criminals? Don’t worry, Money Heist will not disappoint you. It has its very own group of good-looking thieves. The daring team consists of the Professor, or in other words, the mastermind behind each and every plan. Tokyo, the ticking time bomb whose every move will give you anxiety. Nairobi, the rebel with the big heart. Rio, the youngest member who is only a teenage hacker. Denver, the one with anger issues who falls in love with a hostage. There’s Berlin, who is psycho, suspicious, mysterious but turns outs is also selfless. And last but not least, Helsinki, the toughest one who is also the softest one at the same time. Now with a team filled with a variety of personalities, love triangles are bound to happen, and so are arguments, murders, affairs, back-stabbing and parties.
Now you might say what’s so interesting about robbing a bank, they’ll just get caught at the end? Like I said before, it isn’t just any other robbery. It’s a life or death game that is played between the criminals and the cops. It’s like a game of chess, in which one move from either team could either ruin or make them. You get to watch the lives of the cops, the lives of the criminals, the lives of the public and the lives of the hostages. Money Heist will keep you distracted for hours and hours.
The show itself is underrated and deserves more acknowledgment. You need to watch it. Even though Netflix has countless TV shows and movies, this is the one that you will regret not watching. Even if it doesn’t sound like your type, just give it a try, which is exactly what I did and look at me now, hyping the show up.
